1:00am April 28th, 2008. In less than 24 hours we will be off to Washington D.C. for an intensive round of training and inoculations. How fun. We fly out of D.C. Wednesday morning for Guatemala City, Guatemala with a short layover in Miami. So by the early afternoon we will be enjoying 80 degree weather in the beautiful, tropical country. Well maybe not enjoying it too much. As soon as we arrive, we are sent on another intensive training for 3 days. At this point they will test our Spanish and, I'm assuming, give us more details about the program, country, safety and security. After all of that, then we will finally meet the host families we will be living with for the next 3 months.

We are packed and ready to go. Although we are definitely feeling anxious. This has been such a long process that we were starting to think it would never come to fruition. Now that it finally is, it doesn't seem real. So what's the big deal? We are just moving to another country where we don't know anyone or speak the language. Big whoop. Bring it on baby!

Mat and I are going to miss everyone so much. Thank you all for your love and support. We truly appreciate the many kind words and actions that have comforted us during this crazy, bureaucratic process! We love you all. Please continue to email us or post on here. We hope to have some great pictures and adventures coming soon!
